In the Good Lab, Tiana studied the role of changes in the gut microbiome and focal gut peptides associated with chronic intestinal inflammation as induced by soy-bean meal using Japanese medaka as a model. She piloted the use of performing 16S microbial genotyping using the Oxford Minion in the lab.

Tiana is currently a medical student at UofM.
